Intern, Human Resource Administration

After receiving my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a master's degree in social work. After completing the year long program, I hope to work for ABCBS or a company that shares similar values. In the next fifteen years, I would love to start a non-profit that acts like a pipeline from hospitals to safe housing options. I realize that many people in hospitals today are not sick, but they have nowhere to go, and sometimes those who are ill, share those same concerns. I plan to achieve this goal by what I learn from this Internship program. I will use this time to speak with organizational leaders who are organizing non-profit events to gain insight that I can use in the future.

Intern, Medicare Advantage

I intend to complete my doctoral degree in pharmacy and become a practicing pharmacist. I would love to enter the managed care world and pursue a full-time job with Arkansas Blue Cross or similar insurance company. I intend to complete several years of community or institutional pharmacy practice to gain experience in the field before advancing to a managed care position, and I am hopeful to move into a managerial position in quality management or become a clinical pharmacist within managed care. I am a hardworking, dedicated, and motivated individual and hope to achieve my goals with these qualities.

Intern, Employee Wellness

I would love to work in the area of health and wellness in some capacity, but I am still deciding what that looks like. I am passionate about holistic health and wellness, especially in the areas of exercise, nutrition, and mental health. I would love to open up my own yoga studio to encourage people to pursue health in their daily life. I want to have a large part in encouraging the health and wellness of a specific community. I think that learning all I can about public health and health relations is a great way to make connections and more directly define areas where I can excel. I expect to achieve these goals by making myself known in the health community and seizing opportunities to take leadership positions in the health and wellness field when they arise.

My goal after college is to secure a job as cyber security analyst or software developer. I plan to achieve this goal by making sure I work hard, learn, and demonstrate the skills I have to offer.

I hope to work for a leading insurance company as an actuary. I expect to achieve this goal by continuing my education and gaining experience through internships.

My professional goal is to obtain a master's degree in economic analytics from the University of Arkansas. Past that, I hope to work as an economist, whether that be in the private or public sectors to help shape policy. Current steps I've taken is accepting a position this fall in the Master's of Economic Analytics program. Additionally, this internship will help me gain experience as an economist in the private sector.

My long-term goal is to pursue a Ph.D. I would like to gain some real-time working experience with a reputable organization to fill any technical gaps.

My goal is to earn my master’s degree in sports management from a power five, D1 university. After that, I hope to work at an SEC school or NFL team as a manager or director of operations. Another goal of mine is to be the athletic director of my high school. I plan to achieve these goals by working hard in my studies and gaining beneficial experience while I am still in school.

My professional goal is to work full-time in the data science or data analytics fields. I want to leverage my analytical skills to turn raw data into insightful information and be able to help healthcare leaders make efficient decisions based on presented data patterns. I expect to achieve this goal through continued professional development of my personal attributes.

My professional goals after college are unclear to me now. However, I am using these last years in college to test the waters and gain ideas about the direction that I may want to take to further my career. I believe this internship program will not only introduce me to a new field pertinent to my career goals, but it will also help me further myself as a professional candidate for years to come. I understand that I cannot be a competitor in my field without working very hard, but I also strive to build great connections and take opportunities when the time arises.

I expect to achieve this by receiving a master’s degree in public health, networking, and finding opportunities that can help me gain experience in the field.

My professional goals after Graduate school are to apply my data analytical, data visualization, and data mining skills to the insurance and medical field. I will take the initiative to apply my data analytical skills to projects related to the insurance and medical workforce to better understand how I can further enhance my knowledge and skills in the field of Healthcare Data Analytics. In addition, I will continually learn new computer programming languages and computer software programs by working on certifications that will allow me to test my knowledge on Healthcare Data Analytical skills that are critical for the insurance and medical field.
